Roving Performance

Charlie has roved for thousands of people at festivals and events across Western Canada as a juggler, character performer, and workshop leader in every season of the year! Costume can be determined based on the needs of the event. Ask about something specific!

Charlie is a true professional and a delight to work with. We can’t recommend Charlie enough!”

-Chelsea Bates

Board of Directors, Centrefest International Street Performer Festival

Charlie can provide juggling, workshops, and/or character roving for almost any event. Check out some of the options below:

Juggling

Juggling, jokes, and good times. Whether juggling balls, pins, hats, or cows (yes, cows!), Charlie brings a combination of impressive tricks and fun banter to any event. And puns. Lots of puns.

(Slide #2 has a little treat!)

Dr. C.I. Ence (hint: say it out loud – and fast)

Dr. C.I. Ence is all about science. Filled with curiosity and wonder, he just might inspire yours as well! Whether it’s conducting chemistry experiments or examining a flower up close, this character brings delight in learning to any event. Almost entirely non-verbal, you don’t need to speak English to have a great time with this character. Promoting learning and discovery with fun experiments and endless curiosity, Dr. C. I. Ence is a blast for anyone willing to be a little inquisitive and a lot silly!

Po the Poet

Po the Poet is in search of his one true poem. Can you help him find it? Po will compose a poem on the spot based on any prompt you offer. The poems Po creates range from the silly to the very silly – and even sometimes to the profound.

Alternatively, Po can welcome and announce your guests as they enter the room – treating them like the royalty they are!

Ask, as well, about Po performing your favourite poem onstage or crafting an original piece to honour the occasion. Po isn’t a published poet but Charlie, the person who plays him, is!
